New Look. Same Mission. Serving the needs of the community since 2009.
Haven on the Queensway continues to do the work it always has. We offer open hands to everyone in need.
And, as we walk into the future together, we will do more, help more people, and welcome all!
About Our New Logo
Haven on the Queensway, founded in 2009, is a multi-service community centre whose mission is to provide programs and services to those in need of a helping hand. Across Etobicoke and the Greater Toronto Area, we help members of our community bridge to self-sufficiency through the support of our Food Bank, Haven's Closet, First Care for parents of newborns, Haven Helping Seniors and Hope with Wheels street outreach.
Offering help and hope to others who are suffering is still our mission, and it will always be so . . .
With the curve in the H which visually represents the bridge and the heart at its centre, this symbol reflects Haven’s values of compassion and respect and how they help people bridge to self-sufficiency through the support of their services.
The new design is an uplifting brand expression of the positive energy and heart of the organization.
To all of us here at the Haven on the Queensway, our new look says this is a warm, welcoming place, which allows for people from all walks of life to be included – to show love to everyone who comes through our doors and to support their needs weekly.
The Growing Needs of Our Community
With the continuing pandemic and inflation impacting us all, the Haven has shifted and adapted in helping the most vulnerable in the community - the hungry and homeless. With the last few years we have seen an increased usage of our weekly programs especially with food insecurity among families and individuals, many of whom have never had to ask for help before.
As we expand we will continue to enhance the quality of life for those in need by providing food, clothing and other resources. By offering COMPASSION and DIGNITY with RESPECT to everyone. Together #HopeStartsHere!
